Forgiving Empty Forgiving

Post by mia August 28th 2009, 1:31 pm

I learnt to forgive.
I forgave someone who did me a very bad wrong.
After I learnt about our souls path, it was easy, cos he did what he was sposed to.
And I learnt forgiveness thru it.

At the moment I have to forgive someone else and though I cannot find it inside me to do so right now.
I shall, cos I have to for both my good and hers.

Love mia xx

This is a strong problem that I face, I tend to distance myself and move on, once someone hurts me, even from my own family, I know this is not the right way. No

Forgiving Empty Re: Forgiving

Post by Spirit-Being August 30th 2009, 6:42 pm

I think the most inspirational Truth that has helped me to forgive was what Jesus said in the Gospel of Luke:

Luke 6:31-36
Do to others as you would have them do to you. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even"sinners" love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even"sinners" do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even "sinners" lend to "sinners," expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

The other inspirational Truth that i saw was in the movie Greatest Story Ever Told, while jesus (Yeshua) was on the cross he said: "Father forgive them for they know not what they do"

this has also been very helpful in learning to forgive those that have done me wrong, things i have done wrong to others, and wrongs i have done to myself.

Many Blessings

I forgave Odie who was the hit and run drunk driver who ran over my son in 1997.

That was a very brave thing to do Deb.
And I believe it has helped not only you, but your son too.
It has probably helped make Odie a better person too.

Forgiving Empty Re: Forgiving

Post by ATouchofHeart March 15th 2013, 9:20 am

It was just something that came naturally. There were many years between what happened and the first day we were standing just feet from each other.
Spirit put us both in that situation on purpose.

I don't remember if I posted this or not. I didn't say it on Blog Talk.

I was putting my website together one night and I wanted to go to a Community Event which was a deep sea fishing trip. I love the ocean and I'd been on one of their fishing trips before but unfortunately I get really ill and end up in the galley with my head on the table most of the trip.

It was nearing 11pm and I'm saying to myself....go to bed you need to get up at 2am to be on the bus at 3am.
I set my alarm for exactly 2:00 am. Then I asked StarHeart my beautiful Apache guide to PLEASE WAKE ME at 2:00 am so that I don't sleep through the alarm. I can sleep through this extremely annoying alarm with no problem when I've not had at least 6 hrs sleep.

In my sleep StarHeart shoots a gold star towards my face really fast which wakes me up. I look at the clock and it is 1:58 am. I get ready and am on the bus.

The bus is packed and we arrive after 2.5 hrs to the dock. We are on the boat and I walk up to the front of the boat by my self while we are leaving the shore. These three men walk up to the front. I turn around say hi; I know one of them. I ask "you look familiar, what's your name. He says "Odie" Shocked

"Odie"? I turned my head at Robert and said (very bluntly) "Odie that killed my son Odie? (couldn't help it - it just came out)
Robert shook his head no and I said "Odie, how old are you"? He said 35 (2010) "It's you, your father (same name) is older".
He did not know it was me and he denied it so that he was not put in that situation. I told him...."Odie; it is you, don't worry I forgave you many years ago".

Then his tune changed and I could not get in a word edgewise.

I was ill later on on the trip but when I got up. I went to the trolling of the boat's rear and I started fishing. Odie handed me a catch for me to pull in. It was a 25lb Albacore. We talked a bit on the trip and I've seen him on another fishing trip. No time to go on them any longer working. And I did see him and his girlfriend where I work in prior position. Actually one day I was walking into work and they were coming out and we hugged at the door.

I'll finish this interesting story later.....have to get ready for work.......it gets better.

Deb, I know you felt much better after that and you did what Tom and Tommy would have wanted you to do. You also did such an awsome thing for Odie and I'm sure he appreciates it. He showed it just by the way he gave you the fish, that must have been a big thing for a man to do to give up such a catch!Forgiving 648385

Afte Ian passed, Ken was told by a medium that Ian had visited the girl who ran him over and told her he forgave her and I believe that is something he would have done. I think that made it a lot easier for Ken to forgive her too. I can't believe it's already been 14 months on the 13 since he left us. Of course he hasn't left us at all, he is here all the time. Even my daughter Kris smelled his scent this weekend when she was here, I knew she would!Forgiving 312297 Now both she and Ken smell him and I see him! Forgiving 857341
Can't wait to hear the rest of your story when you get home!

Forgiving Empty Re: Forgiving

Post by ATouchofHeart March 16th 2013, 3:37 am

Thank you (((((Mia)))))
It always makes me happy inside knowing that we did finally meet up. It really does.
I honestly can't say the same for my family though. Everyone handles it in their own way.

Odie was really cocky (not sure of I spelled that American Slang right) a jerk some would say, (immature) didn't give a hoot when he was 25. In fact he was just fired from the Casino we both worked at the about 7 days prior to the crash. He was into drugs and drinking. My husband worked there also in the maintenance dept. Shortly after the crash Odie walked into the casino and walked by Tom and gave him a dirty look. My husband said it took all his might to not...knock him out. I asked Surveillance to look on the cameras and they had it on tape Odie doing that. That was just disrespectful to my poor husband.

I was working in the graphics dept late one night all by myself. This was right after the crash and with a week later. Graphics was in a long metal building behind the casino. The warehouse was next door to graphics and they were the place separated employees brought back their uniforms. That night I was concentrating on something I had to design for a promotion and her comes Odie walking into the graphics dept. You could tell he was on something. He walks in and says.....I'm here to turn in my uniforms.

Here was the guy that had just run over and killed my son a few weeks before that. (((remember I was not spiritual yet))) It was a hit and run and it took the kids 3 weeks to turn themselves in. (drugs out of body)

"You're in the wrong place Odie, uniforms is next door"
"Uhhh....I thought it was here"

I got on the phone and called HR to tell them Odie was trying to find uniforms to turn them in. Peggy answered the phone and said......"Oh Debbie.....I'm so sorry...are you ok"?

Yeah....I said, I will just walk him next door to uniforms.

So I walked him over to turn them in. Told him he was "lost". (about 2 of the same employees that worked there in 1996 are still with the casino)

Then I hear next day that he's bragging that he walked in on me and that "I was scared".
Hardly. I actually felt sorrow for him. I could feel the pain in his life.

----------------On to that story I was going to share (no that wasn't it..I had just come to my mind)

Odie's parents live on the reservation where I live they are Tribal Odie is not; he is a decedent of tribal. Odie did not live here when he ran over Tommy in 1997.

And 1997 was not the first time I had a "connection" with Odie.
I used to sell Life Insurance and Investments for a company in the 80's.
I only sold insurance to three families that knew each other. Each referred the me to the other.
Two were tribal members and one a friend of family.

* Family #1
I wrote insurance on the whole family: two parents and two teens; boy older than girl
Several months after writing the policy the boy of this family was on the back of a motorcycle of a friend who was driving it.
A car did not stop at a stop sign and the boys on the motorcycle swerved to the left to avoid the car.
The boy of family #1 was thrown off the motorcycle and his head hit the cement curb and he was killed instantly.
I delivered a $5,000 death benefit to the parents; which was a really weird experience at a young age...28 maybe.....

* Family #2 (referred by #1 family)
I wrote insurance on the whole family: two parents and two children; boy older than girl.
One night the boy was out drinking and driving with two friends. One of the friends lived up at the top of a small mountain. The boys were driving down the mountain in a small Toyota type truck. The mother of one of the boys who was driving was coming up the mountain from the bottom. They collided head on. The boy of Family #2 was in the middle and was crushed and he died on the way to the hospital. The other two were severely injured and the one by the window ended up paralyzed. That boy ended up in a wheelchair and married my husband's cousin's girl; later divorcing but going to work at the casino I worked at.
Again.......I had to deliver a death benefit to the parents of the boy. Needless to say.....I quit selling life insurance after delivering two death benefits so close together to people who were actually acquaintances of my husbands. Family #1 and #2 were related and both husbands were from my husband's tribe; although not related to that family. Boy in family #1 and boy in family #2 were cousins. Can you imagine people in our community saying that I was bad luck? It happened.

* Family #3 (referred by #2 family)
I wrote insurance on the whole family: two parents and two children; two boys
Luckily none of the boys were killed within a few months after me writing their policies.
I was beginning to think there was something going on with me.. Sad
Fast forward approx 15 years. A couple days after my son was killed, father to family #3 came knocking at our door. Tom and I were home.
Tom answers and I'm right behind him. We were surprised to see him. Both towns are neighboring 12 miles apart and Tom knew the family from football when both schools would play. The father said............."I'm so sorry to hear about your son's death. I just want to let you know that I won't be able to attend your son's funeral service.....my son was killed last week in Arizona. His son's motorcycle had broken down on the freeway and somehow a truck ran him over and killed him instantly. He had to go out of state to bring back the body.

Boy who was driving the motorcycle in the death of young man in Family #1 was also the one who ran over my son in 1997; Odie.

Just proves how we as soul groups are all intertwined.

Post by ATouchofHeart March 16th 2013, 4:21 am

Thank you Stephen for the kind words.
You know....one just deal with it all.
We truly are not given any more than we can handle.

It's all in the game of LIFE

I'm thinking of contacting that ins. co. I used to sell for and find out the dates of the death of family #1.
There's much more to all this than I think I'm aware of.
Or much easier would be to contact the dad. Haven't seen him since an Elder trip in 2010 though, his relative would know, he just lives a couple streets from me. I need to run over there anyway...his wife was going to give me her mother's sewing things she does not use any longer. But we have not connected yet.

I'll bet my bottom dollar that my son and Odie made an agreement prior to this life to share experiences to learn from each other.
The years are to far apart I'm sure but Odie would have been around 9 when he had the accident and Chet was killed.
It seems to me that Chet was more around 15 years old, maybe younger.
My thought on this.....I'm probably wrong but Chet dying on the back of motorcycle and Odie driving.....my son born in 80, would be interesting if my son was chet...come back to give Odie a lesson. I thing the ages are wrong though. I'll ask someone and get back with it. Maybe I'll run over tomorrow and ask. Her husband and I have this thing.....we always give each other a bear hug....it's our "I feel your loss hug" I wish I had kept my client insurance card; everything was on them. I have the long file box they were in but they were removed. Another mystery to my life search.

Haven't told you that one yet. I found my birth mother in 5 days...never had met her prior.

Deb, I read this earlier on my mobile, however, I find it hard to answer posts on it, so waited til I was back home.

You are one strong lady Deb.
What you have been through would have sent most on a downward spiral.
Yours is a hard path to walk, but you are doing it admirably.

I am honoured to meet you xxxx
