God Driving Your Chariot Empty God Driving Your Chariot

Guys, I have reached the point where God is a loving child with a sense of humor and He is driving my chariot. I spend most of the time hanging on to Jesus, who is in the chariot with us, because letting God drive scares the pewad out of me Smile !

How do I feel? I grew up listening to my mother say that you have to love God and Jesus but you can not trust them. So a lack of faith in God and Jesus is built into my personality programing from a very young age. I have hope and love, but absolutely no faith. So now at sixty two years old I am exploring the concept of faith even though I do not have any. So I find this stepping out into the unknown of the world of faith, scary. At the same time I have over half a century of experience (57 years) with God and Jesus and they have never let me down and have actually been quite gentle and loving with me. My problem has always be me, with God always having to get me out of the messes that I have gotten myself into. So my "Hope" is that if I get out of God's way and let my loving playmate drive my chariot that things my settle down and go better for me. At the same time letting God drive is scary because I have a built in lack of trust that I picked up in my childhood. And the truth is Mia I have some wants and does God care about my wants? Luckily at sixty-two my wants are pretty well thinned down, which does make things a bit easier. Wrestling with God has been my whole life, I have learned a lot from the experience, but Smile I think it is time to try something different and different is scary.

Hey Mia! How come I only got two xx this time and normally I get three xxx?! I am a bit concerned about this new turn of events Smile

Lol sunny! Here you go xxx (((hugs))) xxx
Extra cos I love you Very Happy

Now you have explained a lot more, I understand you.
I am not saying I can help, but, getting your thoughts out into the open helps me Smile

I dont know who answers my pleas for help ..... does it matter though who or what he/she/it is?

Whatever we name our saviour/s they know who they are and that we need them.

I read a lot about labelling.

Does our 'god' need a label, its a thought? an energy? a manifestation?

You know you are loved, protected, watched over. I know I am loved, protected and watched over.

Knowing isnt enough though. It's feeling it inside.
I am 95pc there, methinks you are the same.
I fall, often, but I get back up, you probably are the same.

The will to survive comes from us .... no 'god'
We can shut ourselves away, become hermits (I do this often)
When we decide enough is enough, we climb back out.

Same as if we have an illness or accident, we can be healed superficially, but if we dont believe in the surgeons or doctors, we dont get well.

So, just choose who to call on and believe in him/her/it.
Whoever you want will be your saviour.

These are my thoughts and I didnt know I was going towrite all this, so, it has helped me too Smile

(((hugs))) thats for your missus, cos she must be special to have caught a nice bloke like you Smile
