Rebekah Shamans Spring Equinox Lunascope

Spring is finally in the air!

Today we reach the peak of spring with the Spring Equinox, the ancient
Celtic Solar Festival, when day and night are of equal lengths. After
the Equinox, the days start getting longer and the nights shorter until
we reach the peak at the Summer Solstice on June 21st. At the Autumn Equinox on September 21st we again reach equal balance of day and night, then the days get shorter and the nights longer until the Winter Solstice.



Hands
up if you have felt like the last few weeks have felt a bit like
walking through treacle, one step forward two steps back....?

This has been due to the Mercury retrograde that came to an end on 17th
March and the continuous cold weather slowing down the spring growth
and vitality that is usually coming into full bloom now. Underneath the
obvious discomfort it has been a hidden blessing, giving us more time
in hibernation to prepare for the coming growth.

It has also given us more time to re-evaluate, reflect and review the
journey up till now so that we know what direction we are heading in,
bringing us closer to our goals. The more time we have given ourselves
to integrate what has happened in the past, and the more we have
prepared ourselves for the future, the easier it will be to surf the
next energetic wave that is coming.

The new Zodiac cycle begins on the Aries new moon and with it comes a new change in flow. Things are going to get much faster. This
will be the time when our dreams and visions that have been marinating
in the unconscious during the long winter months will begin to manifest.
This year we will also see the germination of projects that have been
lying dormant ready to propagate, especially for those of us who have been laying deep, strong foundations for many moons.


We are now in the 13th
Baktun, the new Mayan cycle where we can work directly with energy,
rather than from the limit of the five senses that make up our three
dimensional reality. When we live from the energetic perspective the
possibilites become infinite, and this year we will see great magic and miracles if we are able to get out of our own way, fully surrender to the flow, and stop trying to control the future or work out what will happen.


In
order for us to surf this energetic wave successfully we need to be
really clear of who we are, and where we focus our attention. This is
because what we believe is what we perceive. The more self-awareness we
have, the clearer and more defined our intentions, and the more peace,
love and harmony we feel, the more we will see this being reflected in
the outer world. Likewise, the more fear and anxiety we feel, that is what will be reflected back.



Use
these final few weeks wisely to prepare for this new cycle. Get clear
where you want to go and what you want to achieve. Follow your own
energy, and don't fight the flow. Sleep, eat, play, hibernate, whatever
you need to remain balanced and calm. If you over-exert yourself now you
may find yourself burned out later in the year.. trust your intuition!



Just
as a small acorn holds all the potential to become a mighty oak it
still must contain the faith and courage to break through the cold and
darkness of the earth and trust that the conditions are optimal when it
reaches the light. Likewise, this is the time to keep on trusting in
your dreams and your visions until the new cycle creates the right
conditions for growth.




When we acknowledge and celebrate these seasonal passages of time we are also recognising we are a part of nature. To
celebrate the Spring Equinox, take some time out for yourself to simply
‘be’. Let go of the cautious adult and run wild like a child. Smell the
spring flowers, take pleasure in the blossom and hug a tree; become
aware of the natural world awakening around you.

Spring clean your house thoroughly, open the windows and let the air
circulate. Smudge all the corners with fresh sage while giving thanks
for all your material comforts and everything that makes your home
wonderful. This dissolves old stale energy and creates space for the
new .

This is also a time to sow seeds in the earth for food or for flowers.
Be aware of this wonderful act of creation that produces sustenance and
absorb its powerful symbolism for your projects and creative
endeavours. Go for what you believe in and don’t be afraid. You deserve
it!

which will be. Let us learn from the past to profit by the present, and
from the present to live better in the future."

I loved it! I woke up this morning thinking I need to rest today and get ready to move on. I know things have been retrograde and many things have been happening around here. 2 cars broke down, thankfully not a big thing. My computer also went a little out of whack for a short while. My health has been up and down too! I'm really happy to see that all ending. Going through all this for the last few weeks has taken me away from a lot of my spiritual learnings but now I will get back on track.
