Hi Joan, it is the photo at the bottom of page one you are talking about....

I don't think you can click here, just to to bottom of page one and you will see a box with tiny photos, click on the link in it and it will bring up the photo large to view.

I guess you can click on this link - it opened for me.

here is another great site I have used for years
http://www.animalspirits.com/
scroll down a little for a complete list of animals
or type ctrl F then type the animal into the search area and it will highlight the animal so you dont have to read every one of them
another site as well
http://www.manataka.org/page291.html#ANIMAL

i also am very fond of linsdomain as previously posted

Got you,Deb. Fascinating pictures.....So colourful as well.
I don't think I have ever had an animal guide. The only animal I ever dream of is the terrier we had in life. Not long ago I had frequent dreams of her.
Always with me walking along the beach. They have stopped now. I know in those dreams I used to pick her up and hold her in my arms, could feel her small body and her hair.

I don't think I have ever had an animal guide
Joan everyone has at least 9 guides.
One is a power totem never ever leaves you as long as your alive.
one is your birth guide totem who is with you from birth and never leaves you
one is a guide who comes to assist you on whatever your doing or learning and often leaves when your done.
what animal are you always drawn to the most at a zoo or in pics?
what animal do you see in dreams?
it can be spiders, ants, fish, butterflies, animal, birds etc even cat and dogs
Do you ever seem to hear a type of bird chirp everytime you go outside?
Do you find a rabbit or squirrel feeding in your yard?
Do you seem to always be trying to rid your home of ants, salamanders, worms, caterpillers or spider or some kind of bug?
You have them hunny you just haven't noticed or equated them as a possible totem.Give it a little thought or pay a little closer attention to the critters flying and walking around you or that draw your attention on TV.

Mallard birds are my favourite. I found two sitting in my front garden this afternoon.
Wifie asleep while hubby looks after her. It is nearly time for them to lay their eggs.

Pets? Yorkshire terriers. I love those little dogs and always feel they are like my family.

((((Joan & her terrier))))

I've never had a dream of a pet that I can remember, just my bird. Haven't had a bird since. When I was a kid we used to have a cockatiel and I named him Cocky.

I love this bird https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9NZnpleU0s
He's an English bird you know. I love you

Cocky was all gray body and yellow head with red cheeks. Loved that bird. Older I had an all yellow/whi one.

Joan, just pay attention the next time you see a wild animal.
One that comes near you, crosses your path, or squawks at you for a bit.

I had a crow come and sit down next to me in the Mc Donalds line. Think I mentioned that. Before getting laid off I was taking a break at the fire dept outside our trailer, and a hummingbird flew up to me, stood still in med air right in front of my face for about 1 minute then flew off.

I watch everything.

Remember the rattle snakes I spoke about having last year. My son-in-law saw one in my yard a few days ago.

Excellent post Laura Ann. I read that before also. I will write that all down so I remember it.
Thanks for the reminder.

I always wondered why some years I am just invested with critters.
One year back in the 90's before my son died it was ticks. They were coming through the electrical outlets of my son's room from outside!!! The dogs would lay outside against that north wall. Never had them again.

Tick's Wisdom Includes:

  • Transmission of ideas

  • Patience

  • Ability to use heat and movement to see

  • Ingenuity

Emotional Comfort
and

Protection
Ducks are connected to
feminine energies, the astral plane
and emotions through their connection
with water.
Ducks remind us to drink deeply from the waters of life.

Find comfort in your element and with those of like mind and spirit.

Ducks teach you how to maneuver through the waters of life with grace and
comfort. Psychologist and therapists often have Ducks as a totem,
assisting
them to help others move through emotional tangles.

Duck reminds us that we sometimes need to return to the parts of ourselves that need to feel safe and comfortable.
Duck also teaches us to be graceful when handling our emotions and to drink sustenance from the waters of life.

Ducks are at home on the water. Since water is linked to the emotional rivers of mankind it reminds us to honor our deepest emotions and nourish ourselves adequately. Those with this totem have a tendency to look for emotional solace in others. Although emotional support from another is comforting, true emotional strength must be acquired within. Those with this medicine often have specific lessons to learn about balancing emotional discord. They, like the duckling, plunge into the waters depth at an early age to gain understanding about their inner chaos.

Past lives associated with low self esteem is often reflected in present day life for those with this medicine. They are highly emotional and sensitive to everything around them. Sensitivity can be an attribute if it is balanced with logic and reason. Otherwise it can cause chaos and confusion in our lives. Developing a stronger sense of self is part of the teaching duck holds.

Most ducks pair only for a season. Those with this totem often find that long term relationships are difficult to maintain and restlessness within the relationship is common. Learning how to take flight and spread ones wings without destroying the foundation of that relationship is one of their greatest challenges.

Ducks come in a variety of shades from iridescent to bold colors. It is important to understand the significance of this. Iridescent colors represent a fine line between reality and imagination. Bold colors are solid and hold the qualities of strength and perseverance. If your personal duck has iridescent colors examine your emotions carefully. Are you getting lost in the imaginative side of self and creating more chaos than necessary? If strong and bold it is time to take charge of your life and become the master of your emotions.

Affectionate and community oriented duck medicine people love and are loved deeply. They often feel a great need to be of service and make excellent healers. Because the coloring of ones personal duck is symbolic, healing with color can be beneficial.

Ducks are graceful as they glide through the water reminding us to be gentle with ourselves as we heal, learn and grow into our perfected self.

Just read the bit that ducks only pair for a season. I was watching these ducks today and wondering that very question.

But you know watching them, they were like an old married couple... Laughing

He sitting there peacefully, waiting for her to wake up. It may be only for a season but they are very faithful for that season.

I enjoyed reading that,facts there I didn't know about ducks....thank you.. Hug

Like parrots.
I remember going around visiting a zoo in Australia. Now they had a bird over there....can't remember what the bird was called... Duh

Anyway, they repeat whatever they hear....We had a friend with us called Elizabeth. We were standing in front of the cage, and this friend had just said to us 'Don't call me Elizabeth, just call me Liz'.

As we walked away we heard this bird piping 'Liz! Liz! Liz!..... Enlightened
Couldn't believe how quickly the bird had picked the name up....

I started my spiritual journey when son passed; but woke up to spirituality abruptly June 2009 when I had an event reading by James Van Praagh and he brought through eight deceased relatives. I would love to be a medium in the future, and share that spiritual connection with those who have lost. I take photos of spirits in clouds. One of my favorite spirit photographs at night is an apparition of a Native American Male.

Beautiful photos of different parrots.

Galahs....there they are! They look very much like a large parrot.

Trying to think whether they remind me of another bird who used to wake every neighbourhood up early mornings....That bird used to be cursed... Duh Smile
